Overview

Over the past five years, Eloquence Academy has fostered equitable public speaking and academic debate opportunities for students in geographically rural and historically underserved areas.

These opportunities include classes, workshops, tournaments, scrimmages, in-school programs, online curricular resources, and individualized mentorship programs. By digitally connecting rural communities to urban ones, centralizing resources and the best coaches in the country, and offering everywhere from introductory classes to tournaments with industry-leading lawyers as judges, we serve as a one-stop solution for public speaking and debate education.

We take a holistic approach to educating young people. We believe that the skills learned from debate and argumentation are critical to dynamic and effective schools, organizations, and societies. In all our work, we encourage curiosity, examine bias, speak authentically, consider alternative perspectives, and ground discourse in research. Guided by that central belief in the transformative power of debate, we envision a future in which all young people are actively engaged in critical discussion, informed by evidence, and empowered to serve as dynamic leaders within their communities. As an educational organization, we provide enriching experiences that are fun and encourage openness, collaboration, and thirst for further learning.
