Debate Webinar and Partnership with eTutorWorld
Last month, Eloquence Academy hosted a free online webinar for 20 high school students at eTutor World!
Founded in 2008, eTutorWorld is the leading platform for live online tutoring. They offer personalized instruction, flexible scheduling options, and free academic resources. Operating primarily in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Bangalore, India, eTutorWorld now maintains an innovative web conferencing and voice platform over IP (VOIP) technologies, actively used by thousands of students. Tutors, 100% of whom hold an undergraduate degree and 70% of whom hold a more advanced degree, are competent in a variety of academic disciplines from science to history. Additionally, standardized testing preparation is available for the ACT, Mathcounts, and select Advanced Placement courses. eTutorWorld is BBB Accredited, Stem.org Accredited, and compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
The one-hour session coalesced around the central question: What is speech and debate? Led by Chief Executive Officer Spencer Chaisanguanthum, the webinar covered the various debate events, the national high school debate circuit, and the positive impacts of debate, both anecdotal and statistical. The webinar concluded with a question-and-answer segment. Over 80 registrants from across the globe, from Vietnam to New York, were excited by debate's focus on analytical thinking and eager to take advantage of its transferable skills in their academic studies.
The webinar marked the start of a one-year partnership offering one-on-one public speaking coaching and a series of group debate classes for eTutorWorld students. In order to enroll, students who already participate in eTutorWorld tutoring or attended the webinar should contact their sales representative to request information and confirm their spot. While the lessons are reserved exclusively for students at eTutorWorld, the company is always accepting new students through their website.
We are grateful to the eTutorWorld team and Partnerships Program Coordinators Rajat Gupta and Sophia Williams and are proud of what their students accomplished. To get involved in one of our regional chapters, visit the link in our bio.
