Eloquence Academy is excited to announce the recipient of a new grant from the Karma for Cara Foundation (K4C) through their groundbreaking Karma for Cara Microgrant Program. The grant places Eloquence Academy among one of 46 organizations nationwide that is committed to leading youth-driven work this fall and winter.

K4C was founded in 2012 by 21-year-old Cara Becker and her family. At the time, Cara was being treated for leukemia; the idea to host blood drives emerged in Cara’s hospital room. Now, K4C has broadened their mission to focus on developing youth into citizen leaders at an early age and preparing them to take active roles to repair our world. Driven by the power of kindness, their quarterly microgrants provide the inspiration and financial support to take over 180 young adults’ burgeoning community betterment initiatives to the next, increasingly impactful level. K4C is a champion of youth-driven service leadership, and has been a longstanding partner of the Eloquence Charitable Fund.
“We are honored to carry forward Cara’s legacy of kindness and community action,” said Spencer Chaisanguanthum, Chief Executive Officer of Eloquence Academy. “My team and I are excited as we begin to brainstorm programs that effectively utilize these funds and best serve our students.”
Director of Tournaments Vedant Misra and Tournaments Coordinator Alexander Wang will work together to manage the grant funding in advance of our flagship Winter Cup Debate Tournament. The two-day tournament will be held from December 15, 2024 through December 16, 2024, with divisions in Public Forum Debate for students in grades 4 through 12.
