New Grant from Arizona State University Announced

Eloquence Academy is excited to announce the recipient of a new in-kind grant from the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation at Arizona State University (ASU). The grant places Eloquence Academy among one of 75 organizations nationwide that is committed to empowering educators through professional development and creating opportunities for student-centered service leadership.

Founded in 1885, ASU is the leading public research university ranked #1 in innovation by the U.S. News & World Report for several consecutive years. ASU conducts cutting-edge research as an R1 institution. It offers 350 majors to its 150,000 undergraduate students and over 100 graduate programs leading to masters and doctoral degrees in the liberal arts and sciences, design and arts, engineering, journalism, education, business, law, nursing, public policy, technology, and sustainability. ASU serves a diverse student population through its multiple campuses across the Phoenix metropolitan area and a robust online learning platform. In particular, the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation at ASU offers degree programs including BAE, MEd, MA, MPE, EdD, and PhD to prepare educators, leaders, and scholars to transform education through innovation, equity, and excellence. Fields include early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, special education, physical education, educational administration and supervision, school leadership, educational psychology, and education technology.

Team members Erika Chiu, Sowmiya Deventhira-Raja, Ellie Kim, Arnav Maheshwari, and Kira Waldhalm will work to manage the grant funding. Fifteen-hour online trainings will focus on leveraging intentional project design to develop students’ durable skills. Additionally, ASU will offer micro-credentials, stipends, and resources, improving the quality of existing programs within the Eloquence Charitable Fund and representing a significant step in the professional development of our team members.
