Volunteer Application

A successful volunteer, on top of satisfying the eligibility requirements for the program, enjoys interacting with and supporting young people, growing and learning about themselves, and understands the importance of committing to the full time period required by their program.

The volunteer application contains two sections of personal information (your contact information and parent contact information) alongside several short answer questions that gauge your willingness and ability to contribute.

All applicants should prepare answers to the following short answer questions. We suggest drafting responses in a separate document before pasting them into the application:

  • Tell us about you and describe your background in relation to the volunteer opportunity. If applicable, list any competitive speech and debate accolades.

  • Why are you interested in the position of Regional Director / Program Instructor? What unique ideas or programs would you implement? 400 characters or less.

Applicants for Regional Director must answer the following questions, in addition to what is laid out above:

  • What makes you qualified for the position of Regional Director? 400 characters or less.

  • Describe a time when you strongly disagreed with someone about an idea or issue. How did you engage and what did you learn? 400 characters or less.
